Fresh Apple Cake

Fresh Apple Cake 

 2 C. sugar
3 eggs
1 1/2 C. vegetable oil
1/4 C. orange juice
3 C. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1 Tbsp. cinnamon
1 Tbsp. vanilla
3 C. peeled, chopped apples
C. dhredded coconut
1 C. pecans

1/2 C. butter
1 C. sugar
1/2 C. buttermilk
1/2 tsp. baking soda

 Preheat oven to 325. Mix all cake ingredients in a bowl. Transfer to a greased 13x9 baking dish and cook in preheated oven for 90 min. Pour sauce on top while still hot. Cool and enjoy. Recipe from: Paula Dean
